Kenedea Lee

Kenedea Lee is a New York based pianist and composer. She graduated from UCLA in 2021 with a B.A. degree in Ethnomusicology.

She recently received her Master of Music degree in Classical Composition. She studied with Susan Botti. 

 

When she first entered the music world at the age of nine, she began training as a classical pianist. Later she began to study the art of composition while simultaneously learning how to play and write in the Jazz idiom. Kenedea shapes her music out of rich harmony and colorful tones. She describes her writing as a product of the African American experience infused in the contemporary classical idiom.
